You may have seen #existinphotographs appear more and more on your Instagram feed in the past few years. It’s a growing movement I first heard about from an amazing photographer named Sue Bryce, and it’s a campaign I wholeheartedly support. So many people, especially (but not limited to) us moms out there, will be the ones behind the camera documenting everyone else’s precious moments. We make sure to photograph the kids and all their important events and milestones but then we’re missing from those images. Sometimes we deliberately avoid being photographed. But one day those kids are going to grow up, and they’re going to look for photos of you and of you and them together- what will they find? I invite you to experience a portrait session and exist in photographs for your children, for yourself and for the people that love you.
